The Room To Grow is a small, mixed age preschool (CA License #384001473). We are dedicated to creating a project based program that seeks to recognize each child's individual strengths and talents and then build an environment of discovery and learning that facilitates the growth of the individual within the group.

We believe that given a safe and loving setting in which to try new things, children will develop confidence, creativity and a strong curiosity for learning. Additionally, preschool is an unparalleled opportunity for children to begin to learn how they fit into society. This first social learning experience provides the foundation for their problem solving skills, self concept and autonomy.

When learning opportunities are naturally and logically integrated into the self-directed play settings, children feel free to explore, experiment and develop new interests and skills:

•  Easel painting, drawing and other media opportunities will foster an appreciation for both art and literature as teachers hear and record children's narratives regarding their artistic expressions.
•  Water play, block work, puzzles and the science area all offer endless learning opportunities. Blocks are mathematical units that children quickly learn to manipulate to create intricate structures and roadways, water and other science experimentation teach logical lessons in measure, observation and cause and effect.
•  Dramatic play is a rich expression of imagination, understanding different roles and relationships in their community and family, self expression and discovery.
